Dear Prospective Participant,
Proverbs 4:23 says: above all else, guard your heart for out of it flows the issues of life.
As with physical health, mental health is not merely the absence of disease or a mental health disorder, but the evidence of your emotional wellbeing; and this means that you are able to:
- Know yourself and what you are capable of,
- Plot a course to successfully overcome the challenges of life, while you have your needs met,
- Adapt to change as need may arise,
- Build up positive and fulfilling relationships,
- Make the most use of appropriate coping mechanisms to achieve well-being without any form of damage or discrimination, and
- Develop life skills that will help you navigate the different environments that you are going to find yourself.
This event will offer you an opportunity to learn about mental health and your wellbeing (most especially in this pandemic period), and what you can do to minimize the effect on your personal development. In this discussion, Mrs. Ruth Dumade will out of her wealth of knowledge and experience help you understand mental health, the various mental health disorders and the ways in which you can prevent or minimize mental health problems.
